The 75th Frankfurt Book Fair is underway, and once again, Mrs. Susanne Panhans is participating. She presents her cookbook “Food Intolerances – So what? We cook like champions!”

Who I am and how I got here…

My name is Susanne Panhans, born and raised in Erlangen, and now 52 years old on this planet. When it was discovered
that I suffered from some food intolerances, I was only in my twenties.

As an ambitious athlete, this had a profound impact on me. I embarked on a journey to eat well and improve my health
sustainably. Nutrition, in general, had a significant influence on my life and well-being. I had to – yes, I was determined
to find a way to feel better permanently, to tap into my strength, and to use it positively. Only then could I be successful
in sports and achieve the goals of my dreams.

Fortunately, as a child, I spent a lot of time in the kitchen with my mother and already had a passion for baking and cooking.
Since I didn’t want to go to kindergarten, and my mother respected my wish, I learned many things “the old-school way” as a child.

Years later, around the age of 16, I learned the profession of a chef and practiced it for many years. Through my professional career,
including working for an excellent caterer who served artists such as Peter Maffay, PUR, Jose Carreras, and the Russian State Circus,
I gained a comprehensive wealth of experience that I want to share with you here.
