“All Roads Lead To Hollywood”

A Classic Open Air that couldn’t have been more beautiful. “All Roads Lead to Hollywood.”
Chief Conductor Jonathan Darlington, together with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, presented one powerful piece
of film history after another.

John Williams

The films from Hollywood’s dream factory, the music written by John Williams for epic movies like Star Wars, Indiana Jones,
and many more, were magnificently presented and performed by Jonathan Darlington and the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra,
enchanting young and old alike. The audience was ecstatic.

Jonathan Darlington gave it his all. His enthusiasm and passion, combined with that of the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra,
can only be described as sensationally unique.

75,000 spectators made themselves comfortable with blankets and drinks, allowing themselves to be transported into the world
of Hollywood’s dream factory, soaring to the highest galaxy of Star Wars.

The program featured big names like composers Korngold, James Horner, and John Williams. Star soloists were also part of the
evening, captivating the audience with their breathtaking artistry: Among them were the multi-percussionist Alexej Gerassimez
on drums and accordion virtuoso Martynas Levickis, a world champion on his instrument, which he calls his ‘magical box of tricks.’

Nuremberg Symphony

Orchestra

Since 1946, the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra has thrilled audiences with its artistic quality and stylistic diversity.
Around 200,000 people attend their 100 performances each season. Their symphonic concerts at the Meistersingerhalle
focus primarily on the classical-romantic repertoire, while their own concert hall showcases cross-genre projects spanning pop,
jazz, film, and literature.

Advent concerts, the Music Summer at the Serenadenhof, and the Classic Open Air provide a variety of musical experiences.
The orchestra is particularly dedicated to inspiring young people with age-appropriate and interactive projects that introduce
them to classical music. A pinnacle of their strategy is U-TURN | The Orchestival, a new format combining digital video art,
light installations, and interactive elements.

Additionally, the orchestra’s commitment includes projects with schoolchildren (Symphoniker in the Classroom), concerts for
people with dementia, and chamber music tours in Nuremberg’s museums.

Host: Roland Kunz

Roland Kunz has been active in journalism and radio hosting for over 30 years. Known for his program “Music for Young Ears,”
he presents classical music with the German Radio Philharmonic. He also hosts the SR podcast Interpretationssache,
which was nominated for the German Radio Award and explores different musical interpretations in relation to one another.

His entertaining approach to presenting music has earned him multiple awards. Kunz’s extensive expertise as a musician
enriches his journalistic work, giving his hosting a unique depth and authenticity.
