The Biofach Trade Fair was once again a resounding success and opened its doors from February 13th to February 16th, 2024.
With 2,550 exhibitors from 94 countries and 35,000 trade visitors from 128 countries, the international organic food and natural cosmetics community gathered in Nuremberg.
The Biofach Trade Fair Nuremberg is the world’s leading trade fair for organic food and natural cosmetics.
With many innovations, the natural cosmetics sector of Vivaness is booming.
Where plastic can be replaced, it is done. People are very creative and truly do everything to benefit our blue planet.
Bamboo is the new and rapidly renewable resource.
Developed baby diapers with an outer layer made of bamboo have been manufactured and brought to market.
Here, only the best is produced for the little one. They want a diaper that is gentle on the baby’s skin,
fits perfectly, is comfortable, and absorbent. The new generation of eco-friendly diapers is now on the market.
Bambo Nature is one of the most eco-friendly diapers on the market.
Bamboo
The “all-rounder” such as toothbrushes – whether as manual toothbrushes or replacement heads for electric toothbrushes,
even clothing can be made from bamboo.
Dental care is a priority, and this is a brilliant invention. Because healthy teeth are important for overall health.
The “chewable tablet” for brushing teeth without foam, additives, and plastic is easy to use.
Chew the denttabs and brush with the toothbrush as usual. The difference: the tabs contain
calcium carbonate and polish the teeth, thus protecting our valuable enamel. A smooth surface is cleaner from the outset,
as dirt and bacteria can adhere much more difficultly – if at all – to a smooth surface.
“Canadian Pine Pollen”
Organic pine pollen, known from Traditional Chinese Medicine, has been indispensable for millennia.
The pine pollen is pulverized and mixed into muesli, yogurt, tea, and even coffee.
Vitamins such as A, B, C, D3, and E are present in the pollen, as well as the essential minerals our bodies need.
Green freshness with the scent of grapefruit and nanamint surprises with a young company,
at Vivaness in Nuremberg.
The highlight: soap or shower gel in the form of a ball. Lather the small ball with wet hands
and then distribute it over the body as usual and rinse off, done. Really cool.
“tadé”
Is a pure Aleppo soap. The soap consists of water, soda, and olive oil. It must mature and dry for about a year
until it is ready for use. Naturally “tadé.”
“Outdoor Freakz”
These young people have a very nice idea. Emboss your own soap. Lemon or orange, choose a motif –
this is pressed into the soap with a hand press, and you already have a fairytale soap, available at dm,
Rossmann, Rewe, etc.
“U O G A”
“U O G A”
This wild team translates to “Berry Berry.” Natural cosmetics from Lithuania not only offer skincare
but also lipsticks, makeup, and much more. Many berries have been used in the formulation
and their anti-aging effects, moisturizing functions have been utilized in the high-quality products.
Is a cool innovation, a great invention. The deodorant roller as a deodorant ball. The deodorant is applied with the finger,
and depending on which “ball” you choose, it lasts 24 to 48 hours. The spherical packaging is made of cardboard
and can then be composted in the plant soil or in the organic waste because within 2-3
weeks, the ball has almost completely decomposed. A completely successful thing.
This is the company that processes aloe vera and set up a small laboratory at the Biofach/Vivaness.
Here, everything from hand cream to facial care in various variations such as: face mask, vitality cream,
pure hyaluronic, aloe vera smoothing & cleansing face care, and pure aloe vera gel is offered.
The aloe is cultivated in Sicily, at the lower part of the boot heel.
A party was held here on Thursday that was impressive. All visitors were in good spirits and
everyone had a great time and made new contacts.
Everyone wished they would win the Vivaness innovations the next day, but no one could be sure, as the voting was done by the visitors of the Biofach and Vivaness trade fairs.
The audience decided.
“GREENDOOR”
is another winner of the Vivaness novelties – hair care
Greenwood won the competition with its product Hairsplash. Hairsplash is a moisturizing spray
for the hair, which also protects against heat damage. The natural formulation penetrates the hair so deeply
that it protects your hair from the inside.

Is it meat or is it not meat?!
Every visitor to the Biofach Trade Fair who tried the delicious food at Organic Plant Protein asked themselves this question.
A healthy mixture of peas and fava beans – couldn’t be easier to prepare and taste
like chicken, bacon, or tuna, for example. The dishes taste very good, are purely vegan, very easy to
process and prepare, and very digestible.

“Herencia”
ESMERALDAS chocolate from Ecuador
This chocolate has now made its way to Australia, Luxembourg, Austria, Germany, Spain, and the USA. An Italian
praline company said, “Let’s make chocolate!” This was very welcome because Ecuador did not yet have the
background knowledge of chocolate production.
A foundation supports small-scale manufacturers in producing chocolate. The dream of the chocolate farmers
was to become chocolatiers. Recipes and quality have improved, and the farmers are cooperatively organized,
having established another cooperative to produce the chocolate themselves. “Herencia” is attending the Biofach
trade fair for the first time and has already made many new contacts to start off well in 2024.
“Northern Greens”
Has introduced herbs such as garlic, rosemary, basil, chili, and many more in a convenient bottle for easy use.
The kitchen herbs are self-grown, harvested, and processed. Only herbs, brandy vinegar, water, sea salt,
and Xanthan-bio are used here. The kitchen herbs are bottled and prepared as dressing with 3 tablespoons of olive oil
and 1 teaspoon of the herbs. Light, fast, delicious.
“Alunette”
is a young Romanian company that produces various products from hazelnuts. On a 50-hectare hazelnut plantation,
organic hazelnuts are grown, harvested, and processed. 15 products are already on the market. You can find the
hazelnuts raw, roasted, roasted + salted, + honey, + with chocolate, hazelnut
spreads in two varieties with and without chocolate, and breakfast muesli currently available in the online shop allu.ro.
“And ready to use” is the cold-pressed hazelnut oil, which is suitable for cooking, baking, frying up to 180 degrees,
and for skin and hair. Especially in the cold season, the skin and hair are happy, as the heating air always presents
an extra challenge for us. A cosmetics line will be launched because hazelnuts are excellent for face & beauty.
Why hazelnuts? Hazelnuts contain plenty of vitamin E, which is needed for cell renewal. Vitamin E prevents
inflammatory processes, inhibits them, and captures free radicals.
“GUSTOLACT”
The best goat cheese in the world. Around 4,500 m2 process approximately 60,000 liters daily.
The operation is equipped with its own laboratory for physical chemistry and microbiological analysis. Only the own
products are processed and brought to the market. Different degrees of ripeness enable a diverse cheese enjoyment.
From mild to very spicy, it’s a fabulous taste experience, rounded off by the goat yogurt, which is so mild and creamy
that it can even be used for dessert or breakfast. Cow, buffalo, and sheep’s milk are processed. The chicken farming,
like all other animals, is under regular control of the hygiene and veterinary office. Kefir, cream, yogurt, sour cream,
cream cheese, mozzarella, and much more are part of GUSTOLACT’s assortment. Of course, meat from the own breeding
and special nutrition of the animals, free of antibiotics, is also available.
The animals and their strictly monitored feeding are an integral part of the operation. Because we all know what the
animals have been fed, we end up eating it with the meat.
“Fruits of the Earth”
Are to be found in Romania. “The treasures of vitamins” Sea buckthorn is the magic word –
one of the most vitamin-rich fruits in the world. It contains 10 times more vitamin C than
citrus fruits and rose hips, beta-carotene for the eyes, and the vitamins A, B1, B2, B6,
B9, E, K, P, and F are the ingredients of this magic fruit. But it’s so sour that it makes your face
scrunch up when you eat it. But sour makes you happy, and refined with honey, it’s a delight.
Do you want to support your cholesterol level and your heart health? Then sea buckthorn is just right for you.
Eczema and even dry skin regenerate with the enjoyment of sea buckthorn. Blueberries, rich in vitamins, minerals,
and antioxidants, are grown in Arad, Lipova, as well as hazelnuts.
Mr. CioCeanu, President of the Organic Association Romania, is here with me for an interview.
It’s great that he is personally present at the Biofach trade fair. Mr. CioCeanu says, “For him,
it’s normal to be personally present here.”
They have organic agriculture in Romania and are very well connected with the ancient principles of
agriculture and the way to grow food. “We are from Romania and want to express our offer, quality, and productivity.”
For Mr. CioCeanu himself, it is normal that Romania has good “God-given management.” This refers
to the fertility of the soil, the location, the quality of the soil, and the sun. This is a very good prerequisite
for food. You have pure nature in Romania. The location is also special.
The industry is more or less over. The productivity of agriculture and the quality for the Food’s are very high.
“You have to try the honey; that’s the taste of our country, our bees.” Mr. CiaCeanu brings some products,
such as sunflower seeds, a mixture of organic rye flour, linseed, and sunflower seeds, and explains exactly
how they can be processed. The mixed flour also comes from organic farming and must be stored cool.
Gray spelt – spelled wheat in its original form, dried and grown according to biblical principles.
A real power food: soak the dry husks with water, leave a little water on top, change the water daily, and then the spelt
sprouts grow from it. Either remove the spelt sprouts and press, it’s a pure power juice. Or you eat the sprouts pure,
on salad, on a sandwich, or make a sprout salad.
Romania, of course, also visits the Biofach trade fairs worldwide.
To name a few examples: Australia – Sydney, Shanghai-China, Israel-Isla-Food, New York-FineFood N.Y., London –
two trade fairs for organic food, Philadelphia-USA-Biofach trade fair, China International Import-Export Shanghai.
The location of the country also has to do with the quality of food in agriculture. The sun shines at a 45-degree angle.
This is just one example, Romania is truly a “God-blessed land” There is a festival of the Biofach trade fair in Romania.
The EUROPEAN ORGANIC FESTIVAL will take place in Romania in Polovragi from 18.07. to 21.07.2024
