The 73rd Spielwarenmesse 2025 in Nuremberg features:
From model cars to real race cars—anything is possible at the Spielwarenmesse, and sometimes even on a larger scale.
A life-size
built from LEGO is displayed at the main entrance, and in theory, you could hop in and drive away.
In one of the halls, a real race car is on display—standing so close to it, you can almost feel the thrill of
speeding just inches above the asphalt.
are so big that several visitors could easily hide behind them. There’s ride-on toys powered by children’s
own leg strength and toy tractors sturdy enough for adults—and one visitor is proving it:
“I’m not sure if my daughter will actually get this four-wheeler,” she tells me with a grin, having way too much fun driving it around.
They look like a dinosaur or a unicorn, are electrically controlled, and equipped with ground lighting.
The child is strapped in, has a small rubber lever on each side, and off they go.
“Come on, let’s play cooking and make ice cream,” says an exhibitor to me. I laugh and go along, letting
myself be drawn into the small-but-big world of children’s kitchens. Making ice cream, juicing, cooking
in the outdoor kitchen—getting fully immersed.
In the evening, you can look at the stars. Here, you’ll find astronomical telescopes—they’re reasonably priced,
and come from a regional company.

and sail with or against the wind.”
A young man, who enjoys cruising around with his inflatable boat on the Isa, invented a new and powerful toy.
He was frustrated that the ‘water gun’ wasn’t making his buddies wet enough, so something ‘stronger’
had to be created.
He worked on it and within 3 years, brought two new power devices to the market:

At Federico and his family, the Vegas vibe is always present.

On Friday, during the Spielwarenmesse,
the second edition of the Game Inventors’ Fair took place. Here, you meet 140 participating game
designers from 18 countries.
The inventors, whether newcomers or professionals, sit at individual tables and present their newly
invented games. Publishers walk through the rooms all day, speaking with the inventors and having the
games shown and explained in detail.
The game publishers know that here, they encounter creativity that makes a difference in the game market.
This is where the groundwork for new contracts is laid, and new releases are launched under the publishers’
umbrella. The publishing teams know that it’s worth it.
The Friday of the fair is firmly scheduled by the game publishers for the 140 participating game designers from 18 countries.
Sjaak Griffioen – Gameway
He has been inventing his great games since 1990.
At first, it was his hobby, as he is a creative director and also involved in data processing and
management direction.
Sjaak lives in a town 20 km outside of Amsterdam and came to Nuremberg solely for this day to present
his newly invented creative game. He is already an ‘old hand’ in this business, having invented and
published more than 100 games through game publishers, and he is a member of the Game Authors’ Guild.
He has traveled all the way from England.
He has already released games on the market and is excited to present his new game.
He comes from Switzerland.
He loves geometry and invents games and artworks.
An interesting combination that Albert excels at and which delights the market.
A pensioner and game inventor who traveled from Austria.
No distance is too far to present amazing new games and connect with game publishers.
