The headlines were made by the Hunting and Shooting Days

Hunting also involves the so-called “butchering” process. The game must be gutted, skinned, and broken down to
ensure optimal processing. During the three-day event, there were multiple demonstrations showing how this works,
allowing many hunters to pick up useful techniques.

Stefan Göring from Heimat Wild demonstrated what can be done with the game and how to process it fully and sensibly.
He emphasized the importance of using the whole animal after the hunt, advocating for the complete utilization
of the game, which is the philosophy of his family-run business. Together with his son, he showed
how their products, such as delicious meats and handcrafted items like shoes made from wild animal hides,
are created and highly recommended.

Here, everything a hunter needs is displayed and offered.

Fragrances

There are various fragrances that, while not particularly attractive to humans, are highly appealing
to game animals. These scents are made exclusively from natural substances and are 100% effective.
They are utilized for several purposes, such as combating pests like the bark beetle and training hunting dogs.

Clothing

Very many wonderful clothing items were offered, including popular wax jackets from Edinburgh.
Wax jackets are 100% water-repellent and stylish. They are a modern piece
of clothing available at a fair price and in many colors. Functional and fashionable, they make being
in nature even more enjoyable.

Warm jackets, sweaters, pants, shoes, boots, accessories for the hunting hat, and the jacket’s area are all available
on-site, and the variety is very large.

Optics

It is very important that the optics fit well, not only in terms of the various tastes of people in the outdoors
but also regarding binoculars, riflescopes, or spotting scopes. Here, excellent quality is essential. Hunters,
shooters, and birdwatchers rely on good visibility. Professional advice is crucial, and visitors to the fair
were able to receive that here.

Drones

Drones are a very good tool, especially for wildlife protection. Each year, several tens of thousands
of fawns are saved from certain death by harvesters. Drones can also aid in locating missing persons
more quickly, often in life-and-death situations. Additionally, they can transport items from one location
to another, with no limits to imagination as long as the objects are not too heavy and the distances
remain within a reasonable range.

Birds of Prey

It is an absolute must for visitors at the Hunting and Shooting Days. These wonderful animals are kept
in a species-appropriate manner and are used for falconry. Of course, visitors are allowed to admire
them and sometimes even hold them.

Hunting is most successful with the right equipment. A hunting rifle must function well, be reliable,
and fit the hunter perfectly. This “trying on” process is crucial at a fair, where professional advice
is available. Fine woods are used in the manufacturing of these rifles, and the profession of gunsmith
has a long-standing tradition spanning centuries.

Cars

Big cars for tall people are quite normal in the hunting world. Hunters travel on forest paths,
and in the woods, the forester is also on the move. A powerful vehicle is needed, as the hunter must
transport the game. At the fair, visitors can look at these cars and even take a test seat.

Dogs

Hunting requires a dog. The dog assists hunters in their work and, of course, needs high-quality
food to stay healthy for a long time. There are manufacturers dedicated to creating optimal nutrition
tailored to dogs’ needs. When the dog is healthy, both the owner and handler are happy.

The dogs were presented, and visitors could admire their abilities. A hunting dog must follow the hunter’s
commands and assist with the work. It’s important to remain quiet while hunting, and the dog learns this as well.
The dogs at the Hunting and Shooting Days showcased wonderfully how well dogs can interact with each
other and with people, creating a relaxed atmosphere.

Whether big or small, over 30,000 visitors attended the three-day event at the Hunting and Shooting Days in Grünau.
Despite the weather not always being pleasant, people were very interested and indulged in the culinary delights.

Culinary

From wild burgers to wild sausages, wild döner, salads, meat patties, roasts, and everything that can be made
from game meat was offered. This also included smoked and cured products. Complemented by cheese,
homemade jams, truffle pesto, and bread, it was a wonderful and successful weekend.
