Super Mario Meet Lara Croft

Helge Borgarts

Video artist, composer, and host, he moderates the evening in a very charming and cheerful manner.
He is a composer, develops video games himself, and is partly responsible for the soundtrack of Moorhuhn – Tiger and Chicken.

Evan-Alexis Christ

Conducts the wonderful Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra on this evening.

Ring: „Sic parvis Magna“

This ring plays a significant role in the music of the Uncharted series. Helge Borgarts owns such a ring.
He shows it to the audience and explains exactly which film this ring comes from and what it symbolizes.
It is, of course, fantastic to be guided through the evening by Helge Borgarts in such a charming manner,
with his background knowledge and firsthand experience from the industry.

Dirigent Evan-Alexis
 Chist

Conductor Evan-Alexis Christ has Greek roots and grew up in Las Vegas, the city where reality and fiction merge.
Evan-Alexis Christ began playing the oboe and piano at an early age and studied mathematics and composition
at Harvard University as well as conducting at the University of Music and Theatre in Leipzig. He has a unique
ability to draw out the emotions of films through his conducting.

Evan-Alexis Christ watches the films closely: “It’s important to understand the scenes,” he says, and he translates
them into his conducting. “Film music and more rock-oriented scenes are always something special and completely
different from classical music.”

Evan-Alexis loves film music. “It’s different from classical music; it’s about bringing the music and musicians together,
and serving the music. In concerts, you need to be more sensitive and understand what the composer intended.”

It was an outstanding evening. The immense passion and joy of Evan-Alexis Christ, Helge Borgarts, Richard Jacques,
and the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra were palpable and unmistakable — in sight, sound, and feeling. Simply top-class
and truly special. The audience applauded for minutes and was treated to a wonderful encore with Super Mario.**

Die Nürnberger Symphoniker

A concert of a truly unique kind. Completely overwhelmed and fascinated,
the audience watches, not just as spectators but as if they are part of the action. Featuring music from Super Mario,
Lara Croft, 007 James Bond, Jason Graves’ Tomb Raider Suite, Takeshi Furukawa’s The Last Guardian, Richard Jacques’
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and many more.

The world of video games has its own musical genre. The music of video games is extraordinary and so captivating
that the audience was virtually drawn into the stories on this evening.
It is nothing short of impressive how this music was composed and, even more so, how the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra
presented it.

Game music has evolved significantly over time. For those who remember the beeping synthesizers of the past, today’s world
is completely different. Now, sensational orchestras with elaborate and symphonic compositions accompany the adventures
and experiences of virtual worlds.**

“Symphoniker Meet Games Music“ – “Super Mario trifft Lara Croft” We present a hit parade of video game soundtracks from

The  World Premiere
Richard Jaques Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy”

Richard Jacques began composing music in his childhood. Later, he studied at the Colchester Institute School of Music
and the Wells Cathedral School. In 1995, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the Royal Academy of Music.

Shortly afterward, he began working for Sega Europe as a composer. He composed music for the video games Sonic 3D:
Flickies’ Island
and Sonic R, both based on the Sonic character, and started incorporating larger influences from Eurodance,
jazz, and power pop into his compositions. Since then, Jacques has been responsible for music in games such as Starship Troopers,
Mass Effect, and more recently LittleBigPlanet 2. He has also occasionally composed music for commercials and TV shows.

Richard Jacques was personally present at the event that evening. Weltpremiere Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy”
He was there and provided the audience with a wonderful experience, including selfies and exciting conversations.

Richard Jacques then gave an interview, see for yourself.VIDEO: EXKLUSIV INTERVIEW with Richard Jacques.
