Whisky Frair 2025
Die Whisk(e)y-Messe Nuremberg The Village 2025
It has proven its position as Europe’s leading trade fair.
All tickets were sold out even before the pre-opening, and over the three days of the whiskey fair,
around 13,000 visitors came and enjoyed over 3,000 different types of whiskey.
This wide selection included some extraordinary rarities, which sold out after just a few hours.
The PUEBLO DEL RON rum fair surprised visitors with an even wider selection than last year, offering around 500
different varieties of fine rum.
The Whisk(e)y Fair, an event that couldn’t be more wonderful, lives up to its name. The right food, haggis
As we know it from Scotland and have come to love it, it goes perfectly with whiskey and rum, of course.
This national dish originates from the poet Robert Burns and became “Burns Supper.”
Burns Supper is an annual celebration in Scotland in honor of the poet Robert Burns.
It is held on his birthday, January 25, which is Robert Burns’ birthday and is therefore
“Burns Night.”
The menu is always the same: soup, haggis with turnips and potatoes (neeps and tatties),
and trifle for dessert. At least whisky is drunk during the toasts. The formal part of the evening
follows a very ritualized sequence.
If you would like to learn more, please see the article “Burns Supper”
and enjoy the short film about the Burns Supper ceremony.

Since 2016, the hobby of “whiskey” has become a second profession for one man and two women.
Their goal was to improve their quality of life, so they turned the business into a labor of love.
Since 2020, it has now become their main occupation. They have a small, fine distillery in the countryside and produce
rum, gin, whiskey, and herbal liqueurs, which are made primarily from local herbs and roots.
The Single Malt Whiskey Cask No. 10 impresses with its strong and very fine taste of Madeira. This whisky
comes from a single cask filling with full maturation. This first fill matured for 4 years in a Portuguese
Madeira cask made of French oak.
The cask provides an intense color and rich Madeira cask tones of raisins, plums, walnuts, and
dark chocolate. The finish is intense and long, characterized by wood with cooked yellow fruits.
The cask strength gives it a powerful yet complex, smooth texture with well-integrated alcohol.
The bottles are filled at cask strength, hand-numbered, and strictly limited.

GFOUNDATION 1896
The origins of Emilio Lustau S.A. date back to 1896, when Mr. José Ruiz-Berdejo, a secretary at the court of justice,
began cultivating the vineyards of the family estate Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza in his spare time.
In these humble beginnings, he produced wines that were subsequently sold to larger sherry producers.
This activity was known as “almacenista” or “warehouse keeper.”
In 1931, his daughter, María Ruiz-Berdejo Alberti, acquired a small winery closer to the center of Jerez de la Frontera
and moved all the existing soleras there, giving the company greater visibility and recognition.
